We believe that a love of reading should not be imposed, but conveyed. In our school, reading is understood as an invaluable tool to help our students develop critical thinking skills which will help them throughout their lives.
Books are an everyday part of classroom activity, and travel every week to the students’ homes. But if we are to awaken a true thirst for reading in our children, we must get to know them, so that we can find those books which will best fit their curiosity and needs. Our school has a collection in excess of 8,000 titles housed in three libraries, which is constantly revised and updated. Reading lists (adapted to each grade) are also offered to the families so that our students can continue their reading habit in the Christmas and summer breaks.
The school also facilitates frequent encounters with writers and illustrators, who offer the students a complete picture of the creative process behind their works.
